A special kind of exhibition is coming to the Nanaimo Museum!
Earlier this year I had the opportunity, as a Nanaimo Arts Council member, to submit to the Heritage Art Show taking place this summer at the Nanaimo Museum
Shack Island
Concept: This art show aims to challenge the artist to create an original work of art
based on Shack Island. The objective is to make your work unique.
All artists are to submit an original artwork, 12in x 18in.
This exhibition will take place at the Nanaimo Museum Community Gallery from July 1st to August 31, 2025.
I am so looking forward to seeing each artist’s interpretation.

Here is my interpretation. My goal is to take the viewer to the various shacks as they may be seen from different vantage points, a split view.
