About

I am a landscape artist working primarily in acrylic. Growing up on the west coast of British Columbia nurtured my love of the forest and ocean. As a child I could be found building forts in giant tree stumps or exploring the forests around me. After being introduced to the paintings of Emily Carr as a young girl, my love affair with trees only grew deeper.

While drawing and pottery continued to feed my creativity, it was after a move to the Sunshine Coast of BC where I really started to explore painting, while attending many workshops given by local artists I continued to define myself as a painter.

After retiring from a fulfilling career in office administration in 2014 I had time to pursue my passion, a life long interest making art.

Between sessions in my studio, I enjoy running or hiking, and mountain biking especially near my home in Sooke.

My work has been in solo show/sales at Broken Paddle Coffee House in Metchosin and Serious Coffee in Sooke. Stay tuned for future shows.
