Artful year!

Cards are mailed and decorating is done. Family visits are planned to celebrate the season together.

It’s that time of year for reflection. I have enjoyed a very full year of art. Painting kept me busy between markets, exhibitions, and workshops. I completed around 20 pieces of new work, some floats for markets which were well received, and some collage mixes media pieces as well.

Some of these pieces along with art cards found homes too. Your patronage is felt deeply. Thank you.

This Sunday, December 7th, I will be hanging this painting along with fellow artists at Serious Coffee in Hammond Bay. It will be a show of smaller pieces, a collection of styles and mediums so drop by for a look and enjoy a break or do some shopping! Show runs through December.

I just heard I have three pieces recognized for the first exhibition of the new year at the Federation Of Canadian Artists Gallery, the Exhibiting Status Members Exhibition (EME). I’ll send the link when it is available to view online.

Rockcity 24 x 18
Serenity 16in x 16in

My work is available from me here, or a few pieces are currently available through Artatthebayside, a satellite gallery to the Macmillan Arts Centre in Parksville. The hallways, stairwells and other public spaces of the Bayside Resort are a fabulous gallery of local art. Check it out to view the art in person.

Now it’s time to slow down the pace and enjoy this special time of year.

Wishing you all a most enjoyable holiday season, making memories with those you hold dear.

Thanks for reading my updates, following along with whatever art stuff I have going on. Much appreciated.

Til next time,

Jenny

Described as one who sees the art in nature, it is here where my endless inspiration comes from. Loving the challenge of capturing the feeling of where I stand, I enjoy recreating that feeling on canvas.
