June! Market time!

My first market in Nanaimo! Yay!

June 22nd, from 11-5! Come join the fun!

I’m super excited to be participating as a vendor at Pacific Arts Art in Maffeo Park, click this link for all the details https://www.pacificartsmarket.ca/events

The waterfront location is fabulous for taking in the Art in Maffeo Park. Walk or bike there on the seawall, free parking will also be available. There will be food trucks so make a day of it and head down to check it out. I will be there from 11am to 5pm on Sunday June 22nd, would love to see you!

In addition to my original paintings in a range of sizes available for purchase, I will have a selection of art cards for sale. They are done! I have been working on a something new and now they are ready for release at this market!

Floats!

The back story…Many years ago my brother took us fishing in Prince Rupert (where he used to operate a fishing charter) which was so fun, I have to brag…I caught the largest coho that day. To thank him I painted him a float. He offered me a box of floats if I wanted them…well of course I said yes! After many years of moving this box of floats from house to house I decided it was time. The result…My West Coast Floats! Each are individually hand-painted with west coast theme landscapes. They will be an affordable option to take home an original piece of art for yourself or a gift? They come bagged and ready for gift giving as well! Get ‘em before there gone!

Show Submissions…

Just heard my piece Tidal Impressions has been recognized for the FCA 2025 Water Exhibition. Show starts June 27th. Stay tuned for links when that show goes live.

Tidal Impressions 20in x 24in

I missed submitting to the Sooke Fine Arts Show last year as we were in the process of moving to Nanaimo. This year I completed this large piece just in time to submit to show, along with two other pieces. I’ll keep you posted with results of the jury.

Longing 24in x 36in

Warmer weather, longer days so lots to look forward to like. Whatever you are doing may you find your joy!

Til next time,

Jenny

Described as one who sees the art in nature, it is here where my endless inspiration comes from. Loving the challenge of capturing the feeling of where I stand, I enjoy recreating that feeling on canvas.
