I’m reflecting on the summer this week. It sure feels like Fall is right around the corner.
Off the top, huge thank you to Arts on the Avenue in Ladysmith which took place August 23rd. This was my best market of the summer! So appreciated all the fabulous volunteers delivering coffee and treats early in the day and checking in throughout the day, the live music all day, the food trucks, beer garden and even a flash mob! I was interviewed for the local paper, the Ladysmith Chronicle, and have to say that was pretty special. It was so fun meeting everyone, all so supportive and great feedback too. Thank you to those who found homes for paintings and purchased my art cards. It was a most enjoyable day! I have also updated my available work adding new works created since my last update.

(new- sold before adding to available work)

August was a busy month. In between painting I enjoy biking so I signed up for the Great Canadian Cycle Challenge again after participating back in 2020. By mid August I passed my distance goal of 100km so I doubled it to 200km and meeting my donation goal of $100 I ramped it up to $500. I am so thankful for all the support and generous donations for this great cause. Pleased to say I rode 201km and raised over $500 for this great cause. Thank you!!!

What’s next?
September 2-28 I will be participating in the Mycelium Show at the Cowichan Valley Arts Council Gallery. Here’s two pieces I will have there. I am planning on attending the opening this Saturday, September 5th, from 2-4pm. Look forward to meeting everyone at my first show with this group.

Koffeology
September 1 – October 31
I will have these pieces available at https://www.koffeology.cafe/ in Nanaimo for Sept-Oct. All artwork is available for purchase, see staff there for assistance.

Art at the Bayside
I have added a page Art at the Bayside to the main menu of my website to view my art currently available at the Bayside Resort in Parksville. Have a look there to see the pieces and the locations in the resort to view in person. This is a wonderful opportunity for local artists in this satellite gallery of the Macmillan Arts Centre in Parksville. Sales handled through front desk.
Art Around Town
The Nanaimo Arts Council members exhibit art at the Port Theatre here in Nanaimo. This is my piece currently available there. https://nanaimoartscouncil.ca/programs/galleries/sun-star-gallery/

til next time,
Jenny
