Do you have a website?

I was asked this question at an art market years ago. Realizing that not everyone may want a social account to view my art, I made the decision to create one. At the time I was also considering business cards and decided a website printed on them would be a good thing. A blog was an option available in my design so ‘give it a go’ I said, after all it’s also searchable on the internet. So here we are.

If you are reading this, thank you. We all have busy lives. I want to let you know I appreciate the time you took to do so.

I hope this update finds you well and enjoying the change of the seasons. Fall is one of my favourite seasons, sweater weather, crisp air, changing colours and all. We recently visited Nymph Falls up island in Comox. Beautiful spot and lots of trails to explore, next time we will bring the bikes. I have been trying to get out bike riding more after a very motivating August bike riding challenge. Discovering new trails is always exciting. My regular walks often include forested paths which also continue to inspire my work.

I have exciting news!

Back to those business cards…back in early August I left my card with a shop selling local art in Qualicum Beach. I’m happy to report the owner contacted me and I now have 10 pieces available there! The shop is called Ports & Passes. It’s such a great place with something for everyone. A ‘must visit’ if you’re in the area. They are located at 147 Fern Road E, #4, in Qualicum Beach.

Fine Arts Show

My submissions are now done for our local https://www.nanaimofca.com/ chapter show coming up in early November. This Fine Arts Show is the largest art show on Vancouver Island north of Victoria held at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre. The dates are November 5th to 8th. There is also a silent auction, daily draws and lots of art for sale. Mark your calendars, hope to see you there.

Menu updates…

I have set up a page in the menu for Ports and Passes including the art I currently have there.

Another update in the menu includes my art currently available at the Bayside Resort in Parksville through https://mcmillanartscentre.com/pages/art-at-the-bayside, a satellite gallery to the Macmillan Arts Centre. This resort is full of work from local artists. The front desk can handle the sale for you too. Perhaps you may wish to take a piece or two home.

Here in Nanaimo through October I have select pieces available at Koffeology. Local business supporting local artists is so appreciated so please try and support them. Great relaxing vibe with good food and beverage options. Thanks in advance.

Described as one who sees the art in nature, it is here where my endless inspiration comes from. Loving the challenge of capturing the feeling of where I stand, I enjoy recreating that feeling on canvas.
